Le manoir du Plessis au Bois is an imposing stone property dominating the plain to the small villageof Vauciennes, in the Oise area of Picardy. It is a historic monument, built in part at the end of Middle Ages, withlater additions dating to the biginning of the Renaissance.
It is situated in the heart of the Valois region, wich has been known as the cradle of France since the time of Clovis. The house beloged to Philippe d'Orléans, Louis XIV's brother and subsequently to his son, the Regent. There is a main XV century house, a dungeon tower, and a long wing built during the renaissance period.
